Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) about our Custom Walk-In Tubs & Showers:
What size walk in bathtub do I need? Unless you require a walk in tub to fit a full-figured person or have a smaller than normal space in which to install a walk in (but don't worry, we have a solution for that, too), you will be able to find an Independent Home Products, LLC walk in bathtub that will fit your space. Our Corryton walk in bathtubs fit into any standard sized tub opening. The most popular choice that we offer is 30" x 52". It is designed to fit a standard bathtub/shower stall. This model comes in standard and wheelchair accessible models, and some of our units are also Hoyer-lift capable.
Do you install larger sized walk in bathtubs in Corryton? Independent Home Products, LLC can accommodate full figured people with our 33" x 44" large walk-in-tub for Corryton residents. It is designed for folks who weigh over 300lbs. With this large sized tub, there is a greater space requirement in your bathroom and you might need to upgrade your hot water tank to accommodate the additional size of the tub.
What if I'm not sure what type of walk in tub I need? Not a problem! Independent Home Products, LLC provides free, in-home consultations for walk in tub installations in Tennessee. What is the difference between standard and wheelchair accessible walk in bathtubs? The difference comes down to the door. Our wheelchair accessible walk in tubs have an outward swinging door, which makes transfers from a wheelchair to the bath bench much easier and safer. Keep in mind, more space will be required for this model than for the standard inward swinging door.

★★★★★ - "Independent Home is a great company to deal with. They're trustworthy. I got a call from one of their representatives and he was very pleasant. I didn't feel like it was pressure. He explained everything and we went through all the options. I made a fairly large downpayment but they gave terms that were easy to make. The installers were on time and courteous. They stuck to their business and did most of their work outside. They cleaned up really well any kind of mess they made. The installment looks so polished and professional. With what space they had to work with, they did everything right.
I like the jets and that I feel like I'm getting massaged. It's almost like I'm taking a bath in the middle of an old fashioned washing machine. I'm almost getting washed and cleaned without even having to use any soap. It's like the water is actually scrubbing you. The other day, I found this big old bag of Epsom salt, soap, and things that I never used 'cause I was always taking a shower. I didn't know if that would hurt the tub or any of the aspects of it. I called Nate to ask him. I didn't get him at first but he called me back soon and said it'd be all right. So far, Independent Home has done everything they said they would do."

★★★★★ - "I decided to get a walk-in bath from Independent Home and their sales rep was very nice. The installers did a very nice job, too and I cannot complain about the workmanship. But I asked for tan in the paneling to put on the walls and what I got is yellow, which doesn't fit the room. The tub and my ceramic floors are tan. And my sinks are all white, so I feel sorry now that I didn't go with the white. I called and told them about it, but it's been three weeks now and I haven't heard back from them. So, I don't know if they plan on doing anything or not. Other than that, I like the convenience of the tub and I enjoy soaking in it. I'm elderly, and I cannot get down in a tub and soak. If I get down, you got to call 911 to put me up. But my favorite feature is I can sit in a tub now."
